I am a Christian, a writer, and a corps member with Teach for America. I teach kindergarten at a low-income school where 96 percent of the student population qualified for free or reduced lunch last year and most, if not all, are intimately acquainted with hardship. This blog is a compilation of past journal entries (written months ago) and present reflections upon God's grace through my own struggles learning to serve my surrounding community. My hope is that this blog will be edifying to fellow believers, encouraging to fellow corps members, and beneficial to those who are interested in joining Teach for America but are still unsure if it's right for them.
